Privacy Policy
The short version
- Your scans, recognized text, signatures and settings stay on your device. Docager has no account and no server for your documents. We cannot see them.
- Docager is free with ads. The ads come from Google AdMob. To show them, Google’s software inside the app collects some device and usage data (section 4).
- You decide: a consent form where the law requires one, the iOS tracking question, and an optional subscription that removes the ads.
- The free version needs an internet connection. With a Remove Ads subscription it does not (section 5).
- We do not sell your data and we do not upload your documents anywhere.
1. Who is responsible
Docager is made by Azamjon Anvarov, an individual developer (not a company). In this policy “we” means that person.
Postal address: Dilband ko'chasi, Choyko'l OFY, Amudaryo tumani, Mangit shahri, Qoraqalpog'iston Respublikasi, O'zbekiston Respublikasi, 2300700
Email: [email protected]
Phone: +998 99 455 44 66
For the data that Google collects through its advertising software, Google is responsible as well (section 4).
2. What stays on your device
Everything you create in Docager stays on your iPhone or iPad: camera photos, imported pictures, scanned pages, recognized text (OCR), the search index, signatures, markup, folders, settings and exported files. They are kept in the app’s private storage. We run no server that receives them.
- Text recognition runs on your device with Apple’s Vision technology.
- Camera. Docager uses the camera only to scan. If you say no, you can still import pictures from Photos. The system photo picker gives the app only the pictures you choose.
- Face ID. The optional app lock is handled by iOS. Docager only learns “unlocked” or “not unlocked”. It never receives your face data.
- Sharing and export. When you export or share a file (Files, AirDrop, Mail, another app), it goes where you send it, and that service’s rules apply.
- Backups. The device backups you make with iCloud Backup or a computer may include Docager’s data, depending on your iOS settings. That is between you and Apple. Docager 1.0 has no iCloud sync of its own.
- Deleting. Deleting the app removes its data from your device. A document you delete inside Docager goes to the Trash and is removed for good after 30 days, or earlier if you empty the Trash.
3. What we collect ourselves
Nothing about you or your documents through the app. Docager 1.0 has no analytics tools of its own, builds no user profiles, and does not need an account.
- If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to answer you.
- Apple may give us anonymous, summed-up statistics in App Store Connect (for example downloads and crashes) from people who agreed to share diagnostics with developers. We cannot tell who you are from them.
- This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no outside fonts or scripts. Our hosting provider may keep ordinary server logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security.
4. Ads from Google AdMob
Docager is free and shows ads in three places: a native ad card in the document list, a full-screen ad after some exports, and a banner on the edit and document screens. The ads are served by Google AdMob, and Google’s Mobile Ads software is part of the app.
Google’s official page for iOS apps (App store data disclosure, checked on 2026-10-25) says the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect:
- IP address, which can be used to estimate your general location;
- device identifiers, such as the advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking) or other app- or developer-bounded device identifiers;
- advertising data, such as the ads you have seen;
- product interactions, such as app launch taps and ad interactions like video views;
- performance data, such as app launch time, hang rate or energy usage;
- crash logs, which Google may also use for advertising and analytics purposes.
Google says it uses this information to deliver and measure ads (including sharing with other companies that display ads), for analytics, to diagnose problems, to improve its software and to fight fraud and abuse. Google decides how this data is used, under its own Privacy Policy and the page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
We do not receive this data about you. Google gives us summed-up reports (for example how many ads were shown and what they earned). We cannot identify you from them.
Depending on your choices (section 5), ads can be personalized or only based on context such as the topic of the app. We ask Google for ads suitable for a general audience and block sensitive categories (for example gambling, alcohol and adult content) in our AdMob settings. We do not choose individual advertisers, so we cannot promise that every ad will suit you.
While you have an active Remove Ads subscription, Docager does not request ads.
5. Your choices: consent, tracking and the subscription
- Consent form. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, and in some US states), Google’s consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) appears before ads are requested. You can change your answer later in Docager under Settings > Ad privacy. That entry shows up when your region requires it.
- Tracking question from iOS. Docager asks iOS to show Apple’s App Tracking Transparency question. If you tap “Ask App Not to Track”, Docager cannot read your advertising identifier, Google does not receive it, and you still see ads, but they may be less relevant. Change it any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Your answer does not decide whether you can use Docager.
- Google ad settings. You can manage how Google personalizes ads in Google My Ad Center.
- Internet connection. Docager is free because of ads, so the free version needs an internet connection. Without one, Docager shows a screen where you can try again or subscribe to Remove Ads. To tell whether you are online, the app only asks iOS whether a network connection exists; this sends no data. Your documents are still processed on your device, and with a Remove Ads subscription Docager works offline.
- Remove Ads subscription. It stops the ads, and with them the need for an internet connection. It changes nothing else.
You can say no to all of this and keep using every feature of Docager. The free version needs an internet connection (see above).
6. Subscription and payments
The optional “Remove Ads” subscription is sold and billed by Apple through the App Store (in the US: $4.99 per month, $18.99 per six months, $19.99 per year; prices differ by country). Apple handles your payment and your Apple Account. We receive no payment card, name or address. The app checks on your device whether your subscription is active. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. See Apple’s Privacy Policy and our Terms.
7. Children
Docager is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the higher age set by the law where you live, for example 16 in some EU countries). Docager itself collects none. Ad data collected by Google follows Google’s rules. If you are a parent or guardian and have a concern, email us.
8. Legal bases (EEA and UK)
- Ads and the data Google collects: your consent, where the law requires consent. Where it does not, Google relies on the legal grounds in its own policy.
- Emails you send us: our legitimate interest in answering you, and the contract between us (the use of the app).
- Your documents: we do not process them. They never leave your device through us.
9. Who gets data
- Google (AdMob), for ads, as described in section 4.
- Apple, for the App Store, payments and optional diagnostics.
- Our email and hosting providers, who handle the mail you send us and serve this website.
We do not sell your personal data. We share nothing else, because we hold nothing else. If an authority asks us for your documents, we have none to give.
10. International transfers
Google says it keeps servers around the world, that your information may be processed outside the country where you live, and that it applies the same protections everywhere and complies with legal frameworks for data transfers (Google Privacy Policy, “Data transfers”). Emails you send us are handled in the country shown in our postal address above and by our email provider.
11. How long data is kept
- Documents and settings: on your device until you delete them or remove the app. Trash: 30 days.
- Emails to us: while we need them to help you. We aim to delete support emails within 12 months after the matter is closed, unless the law requires longer.
- Data held by Google: under Google’s rules. For example, Google says it anonymizes advertising data in server logs by removing part of the IP address after 9 months and cookie information after 18 months (How Google retains data).
- Website server logs: kept by the hosting provider for a short period.
12. Your rights
Everyone
You can email us at any time to ask what we hold about you (usually only your emails), to correct it or to have it deleted.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR and UK GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect what happened before). You can complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office). We answer within one month. For data that Google collects for ads, you can also use Google’s tools or contact Google, and we will help where we can.
California and other US states (CCPA/CPRA and similar laws)
You may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete or correct it, to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, and not to be treated worse for using these rights. We do not sell personal information for money. Showing personalized ads through Google AdMob can count as “sharing” or “sale” under some of these laws. To opt out: tap “Ask App Not to Track” in iOS, use the privacy options in Settings > Ad privacy when it is shown, subscribe to Remove Ads, or email us.
In the past 12 months the Google software in the app may have collected, for ads and analytics, these categories: identifiers (device identifiers, IP address), internet or other network activity (ad interactions, app usage), approximate location (from the IP address) and diagnostics. We do not collect sensitive personal information or biometric data. An authorized agent can write to us at the email address below. We do not knowingly sell or share the data of anyone under 16.
13. Security
Your documents sit in the app’s protected storage on your device, under your device passcode and iOS encryption. You can add Face ID to open Docager, and you can protect a PDF with a password using the encryption built into iOS. No method is perfect, so keep your device and iOS up to date.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change the way Docager handles data (for example by adding analytics), we will update this page and the date at the top, and ask for your consent in the app where the law requires it.
